I have just started exploring the world of Grateful Dead "bootleg" videos out there. I gotta say: pretty damn cool! It's great that these folks were able to attach crispy soundboard audio to the video. For those who play their music through the computer anyways (see note below) the video is just an "extra" bonus. When a cool jam is going on, I can walk over and look at the monitor and watch it happening. How cool is that?!! I remember seeing video cameras at every show, I hope more of these "matrix videos" start to surface.

Note: 6 months ago I finally bought a computer and a USB Digital-Analog-Converter that plugs into a RCA input on my stereo. Now I have all my music on the computer (500+ GB worth in flac format) and it's sooooo much nicer not having to deal with CD's. I just go to my computer, pick a show, double click, and it's playing through my stereo. If I need to burn a show on CD for someone, I just burn it from the hard drive. When I download a show, it just goes straight to my hard drive and stays in the compressed format (my media player plays FLAC files.) For my friends, just bring over an external hard drive, plug it in to my computer, and I can copy my whole music archive onto it in just a couple hours and a few beers. It's a musical upgrade that everyone will make eventually. The time and expense is worth it!!!!!!!
